The Tibetan Yungdrung Bon Tradition: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times
Service Description
Join Bernadette Clevenger for an evening of learning about the indigenous spiritual tradition of Tibet and it’s relevance to current times! This one hour session will be an introduction to the Tibetan Yungdrung Bon spiritual tradition, which is one of the world’s most ancient religions (dating back 18,000 years). Bon is a rich tapestry of teachings, meditative techniques and rituals that are not well known in the Western world. We will discuss the roots of the Bon tradition in Asia and spread to the Western world. We will cover "the nine ways of Bon," the three paths to self-realization, practices that promote physical and spiritual well-being, and we will experience the "Nine Breaths practice" which calms the mind and purifies the energetic channels in the body.
